“ As a picky eater as I am, I can say that I had the best omakase here. I didn’t have a reservation because I didn’t plan to come here, but the owners kindly took us in, I felt bad afterwards because it was kind of making them work overtime (so if you want to come here, make a reservation!). It was a quiet more home-style restaurant, and the owner really knows how to make sushi. It reminds me of midnight diner, if you’ve watched that show before. This place is BYOB, and you can get your drink from times supermarket which was just 1 min walk from the restaurant (real nice on a stormy night!). I like BYOB a lot since you’re really paying for the food not markup for the drinks. The night we dined in, there was a rare blizzard warning in oahu, so we luckily got to enjoy the whole restaurant and the owners’ service to ourselves. The owners are very nice to talk to. Above all this, the portion is good. Just when we thought it’s over, there was 3 more courses coming! I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back again if I have a chance. ”
“ Absolutely fantastic. First, the owners. Lovely husband and wife. Nicest people you will ever meet. His skills with her warm service is the perfect pairing. The food, excellent. Been to different omakase around Honolulu. For it's 110 price seems very reasonable compared to less food for 120. Plus, you can bring your own alcohol, which makes it much cheaper. I have spent 500 for 2 because of alcohol alone (my fault). Sure, 110 per person may seem expensive, but this day and age, it's not that outrageous. If anything, go for a special occasion. I've been there 3 times and even ordered their Sushi Omakase. They do not disappoint. ”
“ Incredible omakase, really a hidden gem of a place. The owners are incredibly kind, and have a great sense of humor, but above all they serve up some delicious food! This is one of the best meals I've had, competing with some Michelin starred omakase places, for far less in price and in exclusivity. Would recommend to anyone coming to Honolulu! ”

“ Very friendly staff, mama-san came and hung out at our table, the order the dishes came out was excellent and all played very nicely together. The combinations of miso, salt, like, wasabi, ginger and more were all expertly utilized.chef Hiro and waitress miyuki did a great job explaining what to eat with what and how to combine the flavors properly. Dinner was 110, plus tip, totally worth. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. My favorites were the amaebi, chuutoro, and Tako dishes. ”
“ This was my first omakase experience and the amount of food and quality fish for the price is unbeatable. I was STUFFED by the end I couldn’t even finish my miso soup! The smoked bonito and smoked salmon sashimi were among my favorites. So was the squid and the tuna with egg yolk. The food came out at perfect times to digest. Both the server and the chef were so friendly and kind and it was fun to watch the food be prepared. My partner has had three omakase and this was the best so far, so whether it’s your first time or you’ve had omakase before, this place is worth the visit. Thank you for having us! Ayana and Xin :) ”
“ This is a very special place. We have 15 dishes, each was delicious. We sat at the counter and it was amazing to watch the sushi chef prepare each dish with such precision and close attention. The meal was comparable to some of the best meals we have had in Japan. I give Sushi You mu highest recommendation. ”
